I have not posted here since September! That’s pretty pathetic. I have been really busy but I feel that I need to keep up with some more consistent posting.
I am going to change a few things on my site in the next month or so and try to encompass both of my hobbies, art and board game designs. So if anyone is reading this, hang in there. I am going to try and get back to this!
I started drawing this girl and about half-way through decided that she should be a stereotypical 80’s chick. Not sure why, maybe it had something to do with the fact that Duran Duran and Depeche Mode are pretty much always in heavy rotation, and maybe it didn’t.
This was done awhile back, but I have not posted it here yet so here it is. This was simply an image that just took shape as I was drawing. I started with the girl then got the idea for the rest. I set it up with a simple color scheme to leave open the possibility of creating a screen print.
Here is a preview of one of the puzzle cards that I did for an upcoming Sketch Card set called “Contemporary Pin-ups”. This started out simply as a girl in a sexy bunny outfit and then quickly evolved into a really fun image.

This is the Promo card for the upcoming Contemporary Pinups sketch card set. The artists were asked to submit a pinup in any format to use as a promotion piece. I am doing 15 hand drawn sketch cards as well that I will post once the set is released.
I have really enjoyed working on this set. Ken Galan, the set creator, has created what I am sure will be an amazing set of sketch cards and promo cards. Thanks Ken, good luck with the set!
